Taking a camera, shooting a picture is an easy deal. What about going further? What about using the pictures to discover science?

From a water drop to a rainbow, from a bubble to a geyser, from smoke to light, from microscopy to astronomy, everywhere, we are facing scientific phenomena. MILSET Europe aims to give you an opportunity to freeze them for eternity!

When Art meets Science

The MILSET Science Photo Contest (SPC) aims at creating a leeway for youth to creatively express what they observe within science, in pictures.

The first edition was organised in 2007 by MILSET Europe under the name European Science Photo Contest. In 2009, the activity moved to a global level.

It was ensured that participating in this contest is as easy as possible; all one has to do is take pictures and
send them by the contest closing date.

Objectives

  • Discover science in a new perspective
  • Link science observation and artistic expression
  • Promote youths' interest in science
